While the number and advancement of women in executive leadership is often tracked as a diversity metric for many STEM organizations, even among women, equal access to leadership opportunities is not always available.  In some cases, access to societal advantages, such as leadership opportunities in the workplace, may be attributed to “privilege.”  This interactive forum will feature diverse female leaders in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Manufacturing, and Academia/Philanthropy to discuss the disparity of diversity and privilege that may exist amongst women in STEM.  After unraveling this complex issue, the panelists will provide practical tips and tools for how YOU can make a difference and provide tangible deliverables to recruit, retain, and/or advance diverse female talent in your organization, company, and/or small business.

Our moderator for this dynamic event will be Dawn Rosemond, Esq., Partner and Director of Diversity, Professional Development, and Inclusion at Barnes & Thornburg LLP.  Dawn is also the author of the recently published book, Boss Presence.  After delivering a powerful keynote address during the 2017 Fall Retreat at French Lick, Indiana, Women & Hi Tech is so excited Dawn agreed to join us again to facilitate this panel of esteemed female leaders to discuss the disparity of diversity amongst women in STEM as follows.   LinkedIn Profile
