Darcy Lee

Darcy LeeDarcy Lee is Director of Accounts & Business Development of Metonymy Media, a content-driven marketing agency in Indianapolis. Darcy is involved in all phases of Metonymy’s business, from marketing and sales development to strategic planning and implementation. She stays well-connected with the business environment in Indiana, and has developed a robust network of business relationships.

Prior to Metonymy Media, Darcy served as an Account Manager for Labov, a full-service agency based in Fort Wayne, Indiana, focused on companies that sell through channels to brand, launch and engage key audiences. Darcy’s role included the development and implementation of marketing communications strategies, project management, client growth and new client acquisition, internal training and management and process development. Her clients included Ferrari, Footjoy, Western Star Trucks, Steel Dynamics, Zimmer, Harley-Davidson, UPS, Allied Recreation Group (American Coach, Fleetwood RV), and Oxford Financial. Darcy holds a Certified Agency Account Manager certificate from Second Wind.

As a lover of soccer and youth sports development, Darcy also serves as the Director of Marketing for The Plex, sporting facilities in Fort Wayne, Indiana, that offer recreational and competitive sports and focused on developing strong, healthy athletes. In addition to Women & Hi Tech, she currently serves on the Azimuth Advisory Council and as the organization’s Director of Marketing, working to help connect U.S. Military Veterans with local and national veteran-focused services and organizations. Prior to moving to the Indianapolis area, Darcy also served on the Board of Directors for Darfur Women’s Network and the Tippmann-McArdle Women’s Care Center Classic in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Darcy completed her undergraduate studies at Indiana University, where she earned a B.A. in Cognitive Science, focusing in neuroscience, and a B.A. in Psychology with honors in Social Psychology. While at IU, she served as her student organization’s president (Student Organization for Cognitive Science).

Women in STEM is an important initiative to Darcy, especially as it relates to young women and providing resources and education they need to explore the wide variety of paths STEM can take them towards success (and happiness) in their future careers. She began volunteering with Women & Hi Tech in 2014 and served as the Committee Chair for the 2016 Leading Light Awards.
