2016 Rocore Holdings Scholarship

Riley MineartRiley Mineart, MS - Human-Computer Interaction/Design, Indiana University

Riley is currently pursuing an M.S. in Human-Computer Interaction and Design in the School of Informatics and Computing at Indiana University. As an undergraduate in the School of Informatics and Computing at IUPUI, Riley served as a faculty and staff assistant, as well as a digital design intern at the IU Lilly Family School of Philanthropy in the School of Informatics and Computing Honors program.  

Riley ambitions are focused on facilitating therapeutic solutions and innovative procedures for psychiatric doctors to use virtual reality to help improve the quality of life for their patients. She’s currently a student researcher with Riley Hospital for Children through an IU Collaborate Research Grant developing 3D environments with virtual reality integration to assess and treat childhood aggression.  
She has represented IUPUI across the country at various events, and is most recently the recipient of a full scholarship to attend the upcoming Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing this month in Houston, Texas.
 
Riley feels inspired to be a part of a new, challenging field, and we are inspired by Riley’s tenacity, humanitarian spirit and vision of the future.
