2016 Education & Training Scholarship - Eleven Fifty Academy

Bobbie is a former CPA turned web developer. A graduate of IU East with a B.S. in Accounting, she spent almost 15 years in the financial industry before shifting gears to focus her career on programming. She enrolled in Eleven Fifty Academy in the spring of 2016 and participated in the Microsoft .NET Language Acceleration programming bootcamp. She excelled rapidly and developed a diverse technical skill set, becoming proficient in an impressive number of languages and design tools.

Bobbie has shown incredible adaptability and analytical problem-solving skills, and a tenacity for learning and growing in technology. Her work ethic made her a stand-out amongst her peers at Eleven Fifty Academy and she was subsequently invited to join Eleven Fifty Consulting as a software development consultant.

Higher education is at the heart of Women & Hi Tech. In addition to traditional undergraduate and graduate students, we also work to serve the needs of students pursuing training and certifications. Bobbie exemplifies the type of student we strive to support and we are proud to have her as the recipient of our first Education & Training Scholarship.
